What does this course cover?
This is a nationally recognised first aid qualification that prepares you to handle a broad range of emergencies — from CPR and AED operation to wound care, anaphylaxis, stroke, and seizure response. The CPR unit is built into the full-day training.
How long does the course run?
The course is 20 hours long with some of it online and a mandatory full eight-hour day for learning the practicals.
How often does my Provide First Aid certificate need to be updated?
Your First Aid certificate is valid for three years before renewal is required. The CPR component, however, needs to be refreshed every year, which is why a standalone half-day CPR course is also available.
Do I need prior experience to enroll?
Not at all. The course welcomes complete beginners and is equally suitable for people refreshing an existing First Aid certification.
Will my certificate be accepted by employers in Australia?
Yes. Statements of Attainment are issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework by Hopkins and are recognised by employers throughout the country.
