Overview
The HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation specifies the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. The unit applies to individuals who may be required to provide CPR in a range of workplace and community settings until the arrival of medical assistance.
Successful completion of this unit results in the issuance of a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (SoA). The CPR certification must be renewed annually.
Course Delivery and Assessment
The course consists of approximately 8 hours of learning and assessment activities, including: Online learning and assessment, Face-to-face training and assessment.
Students will be assessed by two assessment methods: Online Knowledge Questions and Online Knowledge Questions, Direct Observation in a simulated workplace environment: Each candidate must demonstrate skills in realistic scenarios and simulations. CPR skills must be demonstrated on resuscitation mannequins in accordance with ARC guidelines.

2. Complete LLND Quiz
You will also receive instructions to complete your LLND quiz. The LLND quiz must be completed before the start of your course
3. Log In to Your Student Portal
Inside your portal, you will find everything you need to get started: Learner Guide, Course Contents, and Knowledge Assessment Workbook.
4. Complete Your Workbook
Your Knowledge Assessment Workbook must be completed and submitted before your practical session. This is critical and musn't be forgotten.
5. Arrive Ready on the Day
Please arrive a few minutes early so your training can start smoothly and on time. Come well rested and ready to learn hands-on skills.
